Directions to Astex
By road from the M11
- Take junction 14 off the M11 and head east on the A14 towards Newmarket
- Take the first exit off the A14, signposted B1049
- Turn right at the roundabout, taking the B1049 towards Cambridge. Move immediately into the left hand lane and turn left at the traffic lights onto Kings Hedges Road.
- Travel along King’s Hedges Road until you reach the traffic lights adjacent to Cambridge Regional College which is on your left.
- Turn left at this set of traffic lights.
- Take the first right into the Cambridge Science Park, and turn left at the mini-roundabout. The Astex building is about 200m straight ahead, at the end of the road.
By Rail
Cambridge is approximately 45 minutes by train from London King’s Cross station. Cambridge Science Park is approximately 15 minutes from the station by car (follow signs for the A10 to Ely). At peak times the journey time may be longer.
By Air
Stansted Airport is approximately 30 minutes south of Cambridge by car, at Junction 8 of the M11.
London Heathrow Airport is approximately 75 miles south-west of Cambridge. Heathrow has direct rail links with central London. If travelling by road, join the M25 and travel clockwise. Exit at junction 27 and take the M11 north to Cambridge, following the directions above. Alternatively, exit at junction 21a (A405) and follow the A405-A414-A1(M)-A505-A10 route to Cambridge.
